The default duration was already once implemented. You may need to diff few
version backwards, actually, the version before notation toolbar was merged
to trunk.
(Here it would be nice to have a graphical tool in order to find out the
moment of the merge of the notation_toolbar branch. Such a graphical
branching explore tool exists for git, they are named gitk or qgit. But is
there an equivalent for svn?)
