I thought it might be an idea to bring this up with you guys. I propose a seperate mode for note entry that you enter into with a hotkey. that way you could leave your hot keys open to other navigation and editing actions.
As it is right now the note entry hotkeys eat up almost everything. By stripping them out in Open Octave MIDI I was able to create a very powerful set of keys that allowed for rapid editing and navigation, at the expense of loosing all the note entry capability from the keyboard. So would it be possible in thorn to have the ability to go into note mode? If so I would be able to easily pass along some of the enhancements we made in Open Octave MIDI.
