Hello,
Rosegarden 20.06 has a bug where it takes a long time to open a project
that has a lot of segments.
Rosegarden freezes up and writes a lot of stuff to disk when you open a
project. While it's frozen up, it seems to be writing to disk.
The amount of time it spends being frozen and writing to disk seems to
correspond to the number of segments in the project.
There is another bug that may be related, if you paste a lot of
segments, Rosegarden freezes up for a moment. During this time it's
writing to disk. The more segments you're pasting, the longer it's
frozen while it writes to disk.
The previous version of Rosegarden I was using (the one supplied with
ubuntu 19.10) did not have this problem.
Projects that used to open instantly before, now take 10+ seconds to open.
What's happening here?
