It makes some sense to me at least, considering you're obviously more
active in those parts of the code than we are. But I'll have discuss it
internally of course.

Yes, I can understand your frustration, and I'm sorry we're not better
at responding. You tend to run into problems that neither we nor our
customers do (judging from the support cases), and I have to work on the
bread & butter parts. That leaves me evenings and weekends, and although
I occasionally do a bit of WebServer hacking on my free time it doesn't
happen very often at all anymore.

Anyway, the larger picture aside, my question about your patch was
actually just whether there was some reason behind not changing
Context.list_var that I've missed. But I take it then that you were
probably just hesitant to change something in the core parts.
