Yes, but the only difficulty is getting you shift-press in early enough. (on a real machine you just hold down shift and turn on, on rpcemu you can't just hold shift and double click the icon). You need to double-click the icon, make sure the window has the focus (click if need be), then hit shift, all before RO gets to the point of checking shift.
