Well, after about ten minutes of clicking, I did manage to see the boot
menu, only to find that I'd loaded the wrong disc image! Having changed
over the disc images, there was _no_ way that I could click fast enough
again and, evenually, I gave up! Would it be possible to write a utility
which would open the boot menu directly? Maybe alt-click on the icon?

My problem was caused, I think, by a clash between ramdisc config and
Memphis, and I eventually fixed it by installing a new copy of cmos.ram.
In the default cmos.ram, the ramdisc is configured off so that the clash
was avoided, and the boot completed normally. Memphis is also working.

My first reaction, when the problem occurred, was to reinstate from the
backup, but then I found that there was _no_ backup! This came about
because RPCemu is out of sight in Program Files, and was not included in
my backup path - but is now. Others may wish to note!

Having reverted to the correct 4.39 boot sequence - which indeed allows
two ADFS drives to be configured - drive icon ':5' is now displayed on
the iconbar, and hd5.hdf (a blank 50MB disc image) is among the program
files, next to hd4.hdf. However, clicking on the icon, or attempting to
rename it, leads to the error

   Disc error: 02 at :50000000000000030

Does this indicate a problem with RPCemu, or maybe something here is not
set up correctly?

Tony
