Yes, I'm sure our use is unique - we have 2 RPCs, an Iyonix and various other machines networked. I share various databases so they can be used from any RISC OS machine in the house. We can also transport (,via US?B stick) relevant files to the factory 2km away where there are 2 more RPCs. I did have a wifi link to share files - but the trees in between went and grew! I'm stuck with RPCs because we use Pipedream which isn't 32 bit yet so dead slowon the Iyonix. RPCemu could have bee a solution I have got rpcemu working on Ubuntu - but not networking yet. Problem is that without share working it's going to be of very limited use to me as I won't be able to access any of the databases or do any of the other things that are set up via Roscli to operate from anywhere. So the Ubuntu will only be of very occasional use. Shame! Probably: the www site clearly doesn't expect people to start from where I am. I found it somewhat confusing therefore! But programmers are better employed programming that tidying www sites! -- Richard Torrens. http://www.Torrens.org.uk for genealogy, natural history, wild food, walks, cats and more! _______________________________________________ Rpcemu mailing list [email protected] http://www.riscos.info/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/rpcemu
