Quoting (and correcting) my post, here, of 19 Jan 2012:
Having copied the boot sequence into the folder RPCEmu\hostfs, and
the RO5.19 rom-image into the folder RPCEmu\roms, RPCEmu can be
launched by double-clicking on RPCEmu-Recompiler. An error message
will appear in the RPCEmu window to the effect that the system has
not been booted. At that point it is _essential_ to visit Windows >
Settings > Configure... and change the CPU from ARM610 to StrongARM,
_before_ configuring HostFS as the bootable drive (as described in
the User Manual). Failure to do so, will lead to ,ofla,ofla, etc.
It was also necessary to copy over a few files (sorry cannot remember
which) to enable networking. Currently, it's not possible to configure
an ADFS hard drive, so all files are stored in HostFS.
No joy here.
I'm running RPCEmu on Fedora 16.
I followed your instructions as well as I could...it didn't all appear as
above.
I copied the boot sequence into hostfs.
I copied the 5.19 rom image into roms. My 4.39 rom image was still there,
but assumed it was still needed, as when I tried without it I get an error
message that gives me no options whatsoever...'exit'!
When RPCEmu booted I checked that the CPU was SA110, which it normally is.
I then ran a task window and configured HostFS as the bootable drive as
per manual...
* configure filesystem hostfs
* configure boot
I then chose Shutdown > restart, and I end up with a green screen with
red error message "File '@.!Boot' not found, any key to continue" which
puts me into the green setup/reconfigure screen. Nothing that I have tried
there, including exiting to desktop and going through the configure
business again does any good. The only thing I able to do to recover is to
reset my boot drive to adfs:4, which allows me to reboot into RO4.39.
Clearly I have missed something here. If you can see it or have any ideas
I would appreciate it.
Cheers,
