I'm not sure whether there's a misunderstanding right now. The "cvs up" 
command fails here with the obscure "ignoring CVS/Root" error. It then gives 
up because CVS/Root points to some temporary location. There are then Root~, 
Repository~ and Entries~ in CVS/ (note the tildes). I'm not sure whether 
this is expected behaviour, but I guess I'm just too stupid for CVS. (Hence 
the louse pun with Git.) ;-)
