There are several use cases.

I use these tools to generate MPEG2 SI tables (PAT, PMT, SDT, NIT, EIT, etc).

I also use these to stream video, like comment #8 described.

It can also be used to test IPTV and broadcast deployments.

I could rename the binaries so that they have a common prefix, like for example
"oc-". Do you think it would be better?

This is the first of a series of packages I use regularly to manipulate MPEG2
streams on Fedora and are not available on rpmfusion.
