Stewart,
Thanks for help! I was able to follow you advice and built
xorg-x11-drv-fglrx{,-debuginfo,-devel,-libs} packages.
I disabled rpmfusion repositories to avoid upgrade and now I want to
install 2 of those - xorg-x11-drv-fglrx and -libs.
However, dependencies call for corresponding fglrx-kmod which would be
provided by akmod-fglrx. How can I get that one to build for 8.583?
Thanks for help,
Leon
If you look inside the xorg-x11-drv-fglrx build directory, you should
find a "kmod-data" tarball. Copy that to your rpmbuild/SOURCES
directory and use the same procedure to switch Source0 in the
fglrx-kmod source RPM. Once that's rebuilt, you should be able to
install xorg-x11-drv-fglrx and (a)kmod-fglrx together.

It was even a bit easier - I changed the version number in the spec file
- no need to change Source0.
I was able to build and install all the packages. Thanks a lot for help!
If only this driver worked any better then the latest with this video
card (FireMV 2400 PCIe), but that is another story ;-(
