Its just gssapi. So it boils down to whether or not I can fix it without really knowing what I do ;) As I said, I'll keep you posted. As a side note, I'll (officially) drop free support for v7 soon as v8 performs very well from the feedback I get. Also the code base diverges more and more, so there is no point in working on that older stuff.
