Thanks for the elaborate output. I think we may be getting closer.
This triggered my attention:

I think we need to rebuild liblognorm with the new libfastjson
package. Otherwise we can see subtle problems with the json handlers,
as there core structures are different (much more in 0.99.3 than
0.99.2 of libfastjson). This doesn't explain yet the line number
problems we saw, but in anycase that's something to look at. I will
let you know when we have updates in the repo.

In parallel, I also install a CentOS6 (don't have RHEL) machine and
see what exactly it installes when we pull from the testing repo.
