Conservative people have always concerns against Linux, because
there are many distributions and they are used to a monopolistic
policy of a software company which facilitates the choice, for
there is just one, like in the ex-socialistic contries. However,
one can counter that there is ONE kernel development which is
going fast. And IMHO this is one of the strength of Linux,
a uniform kernel on which people can develop their applications.
The same should be true for real time linux. Then industrial
people have less difficulties with rt-Linux, otherwise the
fragmentation can kill the promising development. Thus I
make a CALL on all people there, NMT ant RTAI, take the
time to meet in order to give real time linux the chance
to develop in one direction.
Un pour tous et tous pour "real time linux" !!
