We  see the same thing - decreasing attendance - with the national  
conventions.  There are soooooo many scale specific, region specific,  
and/or gauge specific conventions and train shows that the national  
shows are diluted.




Along that line, attendence at "local shows" is falling to the point that  
some are being cancelled in Train Country USA, Lancaster, Chester, Berks  
Counties PA.  Gilbertsville Show, in nearby Montgomery County PA is  now 
reduced to 
three a yr, down from four for as long as the show has been  there, I think.  
The "Mary" show, also in Gilbertsville, perished shortly  after Mary's 
passing.  Many of the shows are now a cheap mornings  entertainment, not much 
else, 
even tho some were "giving away" LIONEL and other  brands on Sunday in 
Gilbertsville.  Maybe their gas is free.
