I tend to think it would be easier and faster to either: (1) 
scratchbuild what you really want, or (2) encourage existing S 
manufacturers to offer kits of what you really want, or (3) hire a 
professional custom model builder to make exactly what you want.  

Trying to convince MTH, Weaver, etc. to move into S scale with high 
quality products of exactly what you want will probably never 
happen.  S scale has been around for decades and so have these O 
scale manufacturers.  All of them have had ample opportunity over the 
years to move into S scale and none of them have chosen to do so.  
MTH has, instead, moved into HO and G and electronics -- ignoring S.  
Not a bad business decision, I might add.  Even Lionel, with an 
existing S gauge product line, has chosen not to build S scale 
products.

Not wanting to be labeled a "pessimist", I'd encourage you to call up 
MTH and discuss the matter and let us all know the results.  This 
should be interesting, to say the least.
