One of Raleigh's track pan links containes this statement:

"... between Albany and the Schenectady pans where the main line climbs 
out of the Hudson Valley on the 1.4 percent West Albany hill...<snip>

Now folks, would you believe that my layout of the mighty NYC contains 
a grade of exactly 1.4% where the track climbs out of the Hudson River 
Valley?  'Tis true!  No exaggeration (for once).

How is that for a new and higher degree of prototypical authenticity?  
Can anyone match that?  By the way, flat layouts representing flat 
prototypes do not count.  Heh, heh....   

Have fun at the convention.  Will miss ya.
