Trying to make sense of Bill's message where he sometimes says Esteco and

source of various types of sand at http://www.estesco.com/ I didn't read
every word of every page at their site, but as far as I went I didn't find
any "medium gray 'Trowel Rite,'" but that doesn't mean it's not there.
But their products include aquarium gravel, and if nothing else, that
suggests another source of ballast. We've used bird gravel, cat litter,
even model RR ballast from the hobby shop when desperate. I'm going to stop
and have a look in the aquarium section next time I'm near a pet shop. I
hope when I see it I won't have the reaction HO modellers would have.
