Further thoughts on a web site:
The list given by Brian aka Vivamus is a good one. There are lots of
S oriented sites out there, but our concern here is to have a Scale-
only site. The moderator{s} would exercise certain control of the
content as to keeping anything Flyer out of it. Covering clubs could
be risky because most clubs include AF, but scale only club news
would be welcome of course.
The issue of coverage for the non-email folks can be easily solved.
Hard copies of the articles, etc. can be made available at cost to
anyone requesting them or a computer savvy friend could run stuff off
for them.
The overall cost would be minimal and could easily be covered by
small contributions or low cost ad revenue. Any over-funding could be
used for other means of S promotion. An example would be to run ads
in certain periodicals for the website. Yahoo has an excellent web-
host program for $11.95 an month. That's all we need to get a site up
and running cost wise.
Let's keep up the discussion and not let this die to only be brought
up again in a few months, etc. etc. etc.
