The prohibition regarding sales is not a group rule. Instead, it is a Yahoo
rule. In Terms of Service, Item 6, Yahoo states:

I am on maybe 20 Yahoo lists, and only one, NCE, prohibits selling. Three
of the lists I'm on are specifically for selling. We have never had a
problem with people with personal stuff for sale, or even SHS or DPH
informing us as to what they have new.
It is understood that the majority of people on this list occasionally want
to buy or sell something of a 1/64 nature. The purpose of the prohibition
you cite is to ban such activity as trying to sell pills that will make you
smarter (or whatever).
Things on this list have worked fine up to now. Don't make trouble.
