Hi John, Thanks for this info. My main problem with the S couplers
was cleaning up the castings to get them to work correctly, I hate to
spend a lot for something that requires so much work.
I cut the trip pins off my KDs so using Sergents would be a natural
for me if they do get easier to install. My only other concern would
be longevity. I'm wondering if the little ball inside will get gunked
up by dust coming thru the knuckle slot and perhaps get sluggish? Have
the HO couplers been used enough hours to know if this is
possible?.....dave
