Dear Ed and Don...
Have you two actually tried this??? I use two decoders (albeit
NCE/LokSound, not the Tsunami) in my diesels and have noticed no loss
in functionality or additional difficulty in programming. They ramp up
just fine at start and emit an annoying (to some) brake squeel when
stopping.
That may not be true for steam which is why I'm wondering if you are
speaking from experience or supposition. I'm planning on running a
Niagara with the two decoders (again NCE/LokSound) so I guess I'll find
out...
