Hi Dave,

The Winter kit was a Railgon. The only thing about it was that the 
bolsters and ends (cast metal) were too wide, but can be fix by 
scatchbuilding new ends and modifying the bolsters. The kit contains 
drawings for the Railgon car.

The $&^%Trainstuff kit was a Thrall gon, but it had Dreadnaught ends 
(the cars were patterned after Rock Island and Soo Line's Thrall gon 
fleet), so it would require scatchbuilding new ends as well, but the 
body isn't wide like the Winter kit.

As for S scale decals, a company called G&W Models produced Railgon 
decals in S Scale back around the time both kits were on the market. 
Here's what the decals looked like on a scatchbuilt Railgon that Randy 
Griggs did a few years ago.
