Hi Dave, The Winter kit was a Railgon. The only thing about it was that the bolsters and ends (cast metal) were too wide, but can be fix by scatchbuilding new ends and modifying the bolsters. The kit contains drawings for the Railgon car.
The $&^%Trainstuff kit was a Thrall gon, but it had Dreadnaught ends (the cars were patterned after Rock Island and Soo Line's Thrall gon fleet), so it would require scatchbuilding new ends as well, but the body isn't wide like the Winter kit. As for S scale decals, a company called G&W Models produced Railgon decals in S Scale back around the time both kits were on the market. Here's what the decals looked like on a scatchbuilt Railgon that Randy Griggs did a few years ago. http://www.trainweb.org/s-trains/railgon/railgon.html Robyn --- In [email protected], "ctxmf74" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > Hi Robyn, Are these kits a true model of the railgon cars?
