Hi Tom --

I built the car in the early 80’s , I think. Still unpainted, waiting for
the day I have the railroad further along (priorities, you know...). I
would not use the parts for masters. They are pretty crude by today’s
standards, neither flat nor smooth. I had to use plastic strip to fill the
difference between the length of the sides and the length of the roof,
fortunately the error falls under the ladders when the doors are centered on
the car. One of the things that still needs to be done is to put some kind
of underframe on the car before it gets painted. As I recall, the kit only
had a wood slab for the floor and no details worth using. Needless to say,
I was not a happy camper after paying as much for that as I would later pay
for a PRS (excellent) kit. At this time, I think it is hiding in some
non-descript box trying not to make me unhappy...

Have fun!

Have you assembled the car? For some time I've been trying to create some
PS-0 type ends. The PS-0 cars may have been the first with the Pullman
proprietary ends, but they were not the last: The CGW, C&EI, and a few other
roads ordered cars with a 10' 0" IH and Murphy roofs and the Pullman
proprietary ends. I would like to make a copy of the ends and am currently
experimenting with that.
