And I thought it was just hard use from previous ownership; Jeff Winslow
provided me with a spare boxcar sprue, so I was
able to make good on most of what was missing, although my 50' PRS VTR car now
sports an AM air reservoir.
I have neglected to research it, but I am doubtful VTR had 50' boxcars with
this scheme, but others on the list have previously
noted that he was not always scrupulous about prototype fidelity, perhaps
because so much of his clientale were AF operators
who preferred interesting schemes to authentic ones.
