Ed L.....You are close, but not quite right.  The first car actually produced 
was the 50' AAR boxcar and the tooling was predominantly done by Front Range 
and finished by John Verser and Jerry Porters' newly formed company, 
Intermountain. Front Range was unable to finish the car primarily because they 
lost their toolmaker Fred Brummet.  Ironically Intermountain was formed with 3 
partners, Fred Brummet, John Verser, and Jerry Porter.  Throughout this time, 
PRS was always John Versers S Scale company and never really part of 
Intermountain.
