PRS contracted with Grandt Line to tool and produce an S scale freight car.
Shortly after the project commenced, the primary toolmaker left the employment
of Grandt Line to start his own firm. Grandt Line refunded the deposit back to
PRS. The A-B brake set had been completed and was simply added to the Grandt
Line catalog. Thus, in effect, the Grandt Line A-B brake set was the first S
scale product created by PRS. Happy to help with the history. Being old and
