There are several different accomodations at the Choo Choo. I would call
to inquire about pets. The rooms that are in old passenger cars are a
small part of the overall hotel rooms. The last time I was there, the Choo
Choo was operated by Holiday Inns.

The biggest railroad attraction in Chattanooga is the Tennessee Valley
Railroad Museum, not the Choo Choo, though that is interesting if it is your
first visit. The Museum has three miles of track including a tunnel through
Missionary Ridge. They have a turntable for turning the loco at one end
and a wye at the station where you board trains. I hope there will be a
NASG Convention Special Train pulled by steam. That is just a hope, not a
fact. Perhaps details will emerge after the Sacramento Convention.

Since I am not going to the left coast in a few days my thoughts turned to
next year's convention. We have never been anywhere near Tennessee. It does
sound interesting. Donna has not been on a convention like trip since
getting Pickles _http://www.lanestrains.com/Pickles.htm_
(http://www.lanestrains.com/Pickles.htm) 2 years ago. Is the
convention hotel dog friendly, or are there any VERY close to it? It could
be a new experience for all on a wandering trip to the convention and poke
around afterwards.

Thank You,
