TVRM Also operatss a diesel train about an hour's drive east over former
L&N trackage that goes over the Hiwassee Loop. It is a very scenic trip.
The normal power is a restored and freshly painted NC&StL GP7.

Bill,

My better half, the kids and I visited the Chattanoga area about 20
years ago and were pleasantly surprised by the Choo Choo Hotel. It was
a Hilton then but later became a Holiday Inn. We tried to stay in one
of the rail cars but didn't have reservations. I returned to the area
when returning from a shoot for Verizon about 4 years ago. I visited the
model RR club in the complex. It was nice but 'tired' looking. The
TVRR is a neat little run. We had hoped to get up to the mountain where
they're creating the Confederate War memorial as I understand they have
a railroad up there of some kind, but I think that a longer distance
(Georgia is it not?) to drive, not to mention that I'm a Yankee!
