----- Original Message ----- From: Roger Nulton You have misrepresented Bruce Heald’s position in his letter . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I think I recognize that name. He was briefly a customer of mine, many years ago, but he brought back an AM loco, a NH RS3, saying he couldn't get it to run reliably on his AF track. I gave him a refund.
I took that loco and tried to solve the problem of body-mounted couplers interacting with talgo-mount couplers, sawing a bigger hole in the loco pilot for a talgo-mounted coupler and trying to devise a talgo-mount for the coupler. (This problem has since been partially solved by AM's talgo-mounting truck bottom.) It's still sitting around here somewhere. No intention here to put him down; he simply comes to model trains from a different perspective. I wish him success and happyness with his AF trains.
