Yuck...!  When I was researching the GPEX Pfaudler Milk Cars, I found 
references to the IC moving Pfaudler's long after their milk hauling days 
carrying animals blood in the tanks.  They moved from northern Illinois 
slaughter plants to processors down state to become an ingredient in fire 
fighting foam.  This would be in the late 60's.  Betcha those puppies were a 
joy to load and unload!  

To ratchet forward for the contemproary guys...  Recently I was trackside in 
Fostoria when a container train came through loaded predominantly with 
containers of some eastern city's garbage - phew!!!
