Since when is conventional wisdom always correct? Actually I've seen
several layouts that are essentially finished. But that doesn't mean they
won't be changed in the future and finished again. And then you have those
whose primary interest is in building a layout and once it is finished, they
tear it down and start over.
Then there's the thought that as your skills (and available products)
improve you need to redo the earlier portions of your layout.
Now, the bigger question is will my layout ever be finished? Probably not
at the rate I'm going. But if I ran out of things to do, I'd have to start
over, and I don't want to do that again. I'm just enjoying the journey,
even if it is one stick of scale lumber at a time.

Actually, my real goal is to disprove the conventional wisdom that says a
layout is never finished. Poppycock..... It is just a matter of staying
focused and not changing your mind.
