Michael,

I am in S Scale for 24 years now. Never once did I think about changing
scales. I have said the following here and other places many times. >>S
Scale is not supposed to be easy.<< HO = "How Ordinary" that has become a
group of buyers not modelers. Almost every major class of PRR steam loco is
now available in plastic. Unless the packaging it really difficult taking it
out of the box does not qualify as modeling.

S Scale fits me in many ways. It IS limiting. I caught the brass bug a few
hours after switching to S from HO in 1987. You could see a **few** shelves
in my basement filled with "there is nothing made in S Scale". I think I
have a reasonable collection and I did not make it all myself chiseling
trains from bricks. Others **did** make a few things. Some of my trains can
be seen here: http://youtu.be/699NBq3WCFA

S Scale falls right into my life's motto of "Dare to be Different". With the
exception of my immediate area where there are 2 other S SCALE layouts close
by, I would likely be the only S layout on a local layout tour crawl.

I answered your query in an honest manner - pointing out **was** available
in diesel details and components. Wasn't that the intent of your question?
Sorry if it was not sufficient.

Is the an equivalent to Cannon in N or O Scale? It does not appear that
Cannon makes anything but HO. So if the fact that there is no direct
equivalent to Cannon in S makes you want to hit the exit door running -
well sorry you did not sit down and stay longer.

I don't sulk about not having the items I really need for my most wanted
projects. I make them myself. Some call it modeling. I just use Solidworks
to do it!
