Hi Tom --

Are model trains EVER practical? As you say, brass models are literally works
of art, and as such, there are those that can appreciate AND afford them. I
have seen many brass collections, in all scales, where the models have been
permanently put in a display, never to turn a wheel on the layout. Whether S
has enough of these people who want a particular model is always the question...

Brass is great if one can afford it. ...
..., but I wonder at the practicality of it in brass.
