I was an NMRA member in the mid 70's. That is until I tried to purchase a NMRA S Scale Standards Gage. Oh they made them at one time, but had sold out a few years back. I thought if they have S Scale standards, they should also offer a gage so one could build a railroad to their standards. When I repeatedly contacted the NMRA on the future availability of the S Scale gage I was told there were not enough S gauges to support another run. I stopped paying my dues.... Don PS This was before the NASG adopted the new "Bill Peters/Wayne Pier" based standards we now have. PPS In my life I have only seen one NMRA standards gage. I have never even seen or heard of one for sale.
