I've supported the NMRA and the NASG since 1962. I've never understood the malevolence (hateful) remarks of a few very vocal S gaugers on the NMRA, yes, many of them who do not belong the NASG either, those who make sarcastic notes on this list and otherwise.
At the NASG Cleveland convention in the early 1990's, my wife Mary, who at that time would go to model railroad conventions with me, was in with a group of women (Spouse Craft - Mop Doll's) making MOP Dolls. One lady asked "whose car was that that had S-NMRA license plate on it." Mary happily said it's our car, and she was immediately critzied, "Why isn't it NASG?". Of course Mary not being a model railroader, only having to put up with one for all these years and a lady, was shocked at the attitude. That convention flunked out for Mary and I for many reasons, that being the major one. I and many others on this list wish You Anti- organization Guy's would keep your negative remarks to yourself.
