That's why I eliminated a continuous running feature for the final rendition of SHABBONA RR. What should be a relaxing diversion of "letting 'em run" can soon become an modus operandi rather than satisfying operation.
When a train leaves a terminal on SHABBONA, it has no place else to go except the other end of the line or an intermediate point in between, and can only pass any given point once during a run. How much more realistic can model railroading get?
