 I used 36" on the mainline. I had to go down to 33" on sidings and even some 
30" on spurs.  Obviously the larger radius looks better, but I had to put one 
yard on a curve just to get 36" mainline to fit or eliminate the yard itself. A 
USRA Pacific and a SHS 2-8-0 are my largest radius eaters.  My line ran 
pacifics and consols and mikes and 2-8-8-2's, but there are no matching 2-8-8-2 
avaliable.
