I think your criticism is unreasonable and is an injustice to the discussion. As for your statements that they have had plenty of time to organize, retool, and improve upon the SHS product, I disagree. I think it has been a monumental task to get this far. . Its more stuff than I expected in the short time they had to receive, inventory, and inspect the molds, and prioritize what they were going to offer in their first catalog. And of course they had to contract to have the product produced in a factory that had no experience with SHS. Now what might be a fair criticism is how quickly they can actually bring the product to market. I imagine there are a lot of production hurdles that remain. Phillips Toy Mart is the only local train store I know of here in the Nashville area. When I mentioned to him last year that MTH was entering the S market by acquiring SHS, his reaction was something to the effect that MTH is always behind schedule in delivering product. But lets give them a chance instead of trying to beat them up. - Earl Henry, Nashville

I have seen what they have done in HO scale and what they are offering in S is not of the same quality as their HO. They have had plenty of time to retool or do whatever it was they were going to do to improve upon the SHS products. They are not of the quality that is expected in the hobby in today's age. The scale crowd is not going to be very happy with this. We have been waiting for over a year for this to come out, and this is what they give us. Why did they make us wait so long if there wasn't going to be any improvement on the original SHS product. Like I said, I will be purchasing only a few items from them, and in all likelihood tear them apart and make them true to scale. If MTH had any intention on getting it right, they should have done this to begin with. It's 2013 and there is more information out there than ever before. Like I said, after a year of waiting, I expected more and better! I know I'm not alone in this feeling. Michael Ostertag Green Bay, WI
