Yeah, I understand price increases. I have some MTH O F3 sets where I paid $599 for them and then $649. Then I watched as they went to $699 and now $729. I generally turn off the sounds, it's a nice option but I really don't need it (it can become annoying).
I don't recall what I paid for the F3 sets that I have from SHS, both were purchased on sales and only an A and B unit. None have sound. I'm not leaving S because I really wanted to see what MTH brought to the table and it's a bit early to tell. I'm also interested in how this will affect Lionel's offerings. Obviously, MTH will bring out more items for the more popular railroads so I may need to wait a bit longer for some items I might like. But who knows. Right now I have B&M and MEC locomotives and not sure if I want to stay with those road names or move to something else, hence the pondering. I don't want to overlap my O stuff unless I want to get rid of that too (or some of it) and at the moment I don't. Again, more pondering. LeRoy Price
