Far be it from me to ask for advice and then disappear! I've been learning about block control, raiding the junk box and now have 2 trains on one loop all for the price of some dirty hands and a few hours of frustraion.
I have a roof-less 'Sam the Semaphore Man' and a couple of 696 track trips keeping me on the edge of my seat! The kids and wife love it and eventually I'll get some more reliable gear. But for now we're having fun. Thanks to all who responded! Even Keith with his on-and-off list wise-cracks! Now if I can just figure out how to wire a smoke-in-tender unit!
