I never had any "new" AF...... My first set was a Silver Bullet set which my Aunt gave me for Christmas, probably around 1957... She had gotten it for her kids as a previous Christmas present,, & they ran it into things until the boiler finally broke,, She took it to a shop, & they installed a Royal Blue boiler on it,, & thats the way I recieved it.... Still have it today....... In the sixties, we would ride the Paoli Local into town, & look at the AF at Bains Trains & Nicolas Smith..... I bought used freight cars there,,,,, The rest I got at train shows, & still do..... John
