When I tried to run sage as root and issued the plot3d command in the notebook, I got the following error message on the console from which I issued the sage command:

I did not get any message when running sage as a normal user. In both cases, I got a blank rectangle as output. As I said before, plot3d worked great in opensuse 10.2!! Thank you in advance !!
