Better editor and wiki is certainly a good thing, but let me clarify how I think about this: Each developer has it's own repository at - say - sage.math. There, is also a server running where the developers can log in. Then, they get this bespin dashboard, chat and other tools (i.e. at least also a command line shell in the browser). This server hosts all those sessions or just executes commands it receives from the client (bespin) interface. REST [1] comes to my mind for executing remote commands and also other things like a "global" (for all users) accessible repository of tasks, issues and patches. The last thing is already trac, but imagine a much tighter integration and the enhanced workflow! (for example, trac has an xml-rpc service which is used by Cube°n [2] - look at this screenshot and the tight integration into netbeans) I know the technology isn't there, but i think it's going that way. h [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Representational_State_Transfer [2] http://code.google.com/p/cubeon/ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send email to sage-devel@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send email to sage-devel-unsubscr...@googlegroups.com For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-devel URLs: http://www.sagemath.org -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
