I don't know about FreeBSD, but Firefox and OpenOffice have both been
criticized for slow implementation of features, to the point where
they are in danger of being overtaken by other projects. Google Chrome
is much faster to add features, as is LibreOffice, and both of these
are posing a major threat to their counterparts. Of course, these are
not their sole advantages, but they are a substantial part.
