Kurt, I think it says in the middle of the email:

Upgrade from v3.x to v4 Enterprise
(http://www.regsoft.net/purchase.php3?productid=56685) $99 (later $111)
Upgrade from v3.x to v4 Standard
(http://www.regsoft.net/purchase.php3?productid=56716) $33 (later $45)

What about a direct upgrade from 3.x to v4 Enterprise? It's the ODBC logging
that I'm interested in.

For those of you that are in need of some time to get the PO out and still
want to get v4 when it's released, some more info on how to upgrade to v4.

First of all there are 2 different version of v4.
        * Standard Edition
        * Enterprise Edition

The standard edition can be compared to the "old" v3.3. Max of 1000 entries
and logging towards text files only.
The enterprise edition has a max of 5000 entries and can also log towards
ODBC datasources.

Pricing:

Servers Alive v4 Standard Edition (no URL yet) $99
Servers Alive v4 Enterprise Edition (no URL yet) $179

Upgr from v4 Standard to v4 Enterprise (no URL yet) $85

Upgrade from v3.x to v4 Enterprise
(http://www.regsoft.net/purchase.php3?productid=56685) $99 (later $111)
Upgrade from v3.x to v4 Standard
(http://www.regsoft.net/purchase.php3?productid=56716) $33 (later $45)

Upgrade from v2.x/1.x to v4 Enterprise
(http://www.regsoft.net/purchase.php3?productid=56686) $111
Upgrade from v2.x/1.x to v4 Standard
(http://www.regsoft.net/purchase.php3?productid=56717) $45

If you registered Servers Alive v3.x this year (2003) you'll get an upgrade
to Servers Alive v4 Standard Edition for free (codes will be send in the
next days/weeks <- before the actual release of the product).
If you have a support/maintenance contract that is still valid at the time
of the release you'll get an upgrade to Servers Alive v4 Enterprise Edition
for free (codes will be send in the next days/weeks <- before the actual
release of the product).

Probably the "upgrade" URL will be "released" in a few days. I'm currently
preparing all our registration code senders applications in order to be able
to send the v4 codes.

This is great news Dirk.

One question though...I'm now running SAlive 4.0 Beta on my monitoring
server because of the flexibility 3.x doesn't have. I have every intention
of buying the upgrade when available, but is there going to be any type of
allowance so that when the product is released on the 15th, I don't lose SA
completely until Accounts Payable can cut a check for the upgrade? I would
think a week or so, or something of that nature would be sufficient to give
most people enough time to get the expense approved.

Thanks,

-ryan.

A final release should be available (if all continues to go as it goes now)
around Feb 15th.
