It opens the EDIT screen were you can change the name....

That reminds me of one annoyance !!!
 
When doing this, a new entry is created with the same name as the one it is
based on. Hence if you are trying to set a dependancy then two entries are
listed with the same name. 
 
Is there any way to add something to the name of the new check after using
CTRL D to indicate that it is a copy ?

select the entry you want to copy and do CTRL-D

I'm fairly certain this is a common request/feature, but is there an easy
way to copy an event or an entry?  I am setting up ping tests for 95 servers
and this would be helpful...
