I have
a similar problem with backup files for Oracle, and files for Remedy, but I use
"countfiles" in SA to let me know when they are overflowing, then I use AT
scheduler to invoke a series of delete commands. Not sophisticated....but
it works :)

For example, I tend to set Salive to create a new log each day - it would be good to only keep a maximum of 30 days of logs so that the disk does not fill up.Best wishes
