Are you using a remote session like Terminal Services
to access the server? That is typically the problem because you can
not see all the items in the system tray. Don't blame Dirk blame
Microsoft, unless you use 2003 server you are going to need to run a true remote
control application like PCAnywhere, Dameware etc.

Subject: [SA-list] startup problem
Hi, I've been
running SA for a few months now, but just came back from vacation to see that my
monitoring box was down. I brought it up, and see that SA doesn't appear
on the GUI, nor the system tray. FromTask Manager, I can see a process running
"serversalive.ex" Note. the file suffix is "ex" not "exe" which seems
suspicious. I upgraded from 4.1.1591 to 4.1.1609, but still have the same
problem. The program comes up if I run from the start
menu.
Any
ideas?
