No, it's running on an NT4 box.  I use VNC to connect to it, as  I'm aware of the terminal services limitation.

Are you using a remote session like Terminal Services to access the server?  That is typically the problem because you can not see all the items in the system tray.  Don't blame Dirk blame Microsoft, unless you use 2003 server you are going to need to run a true remote control application like PCAnywhere, Dameware etc.

Hi, I've been running SA for a few months now, but just came back from vacation to see that my monitoring box was down.  I brought it up, and see that SA doesn't appear on the GUI, nor the system tray. FromTask Manager, I can see a process running "serversalive.ex"  Note. the file suffix is "ex" not "exe" which seems suspicious.  I upgraded from 4.1.1591 to 4.1.1609, but still have the same problem.  The program comes up if I run from the start menu.
 
Any ideas?
